This past October, Prince George’s County duo GloverOfficial & Troy IV released their new single “Throw Sum’”, a mellow but energetic smokers’ anthem perfect for smaller social gatherings. Driven by a soulful, catchy chorus and backed by a mood-setting, glitchy guitar sample, Throw Sum’ is one vibe of many soon to be released on the versatile duo’s upcoming album, “The Algorithm Show”, set to release November 27th.

Since they met in 2014, Troy and Glover have been nearly inseparable, working on their craft in College Park dorms sometimes as parties were going on in the next room. “When you have a unique vision for your art, it’s best to build from the ground up. You have to be willing to work for it,” they tell NUNAR. This is the artists’ third single together following this past September’s release of “1Up.”

Often, the pair take full control of the entire music process, including production, songwriting, and mixing. Some songs take months to develop while others, like “Throw Sum’”, are finished in one sitting. “If you value creative control, you have to be patient. Sometimes people might watch us finish a beat or song in an hour and think, ‘oh, this looks easy’. But what they didn’t see was the countless hours it took for us to get to this point.”
