In late June, the young goats known as 20NVR delivered a brilliant 14-track album, further introducing you to their world as a follow-up to their 2016 project, NVR by 20NVR. This album excelled in all aspects from the masterfully produced tracks, remarkable vocals, and clean bars, to the visual artwork done by photographers Jada Imani M. and Shaughn Cooper. The talents and musicianship of Kassim, HASANI, Fayson, Just Keyz, and Baptizeee shined and combined to create nothing short of a triumphant hip-hop and R&B experience.

This 14-track album has many bright spots and hits, but I'll give you my personal favorite moments. Starting with the best feature on the album, in my opinion, 20NVR teamed up with another DMV rising star SamWyse to deliver No Vacancy/Switchin’ Up, a fantastic all-around vibe. Produced by Justkeyz and Baptizeee, from the very start the guitar rift enchants you to stay. Accompanied with a soulful intro from SamWyse, you know you are in for a treat. After Fayson sets the scene with the hook, Justkeyz dissects the track with surgical bars then wraps it back up with a bow for SamWyse to then infuse with the good stuff (his vocals). Then, the song dives into Switchin’ Up, a perfect slowed-down melody sung by HASANI for the players and hot girls to vibe into the night with. All in all, there were no misses.

Another big favorite is the track Horns. The production is ethereal-like, and is a very sonically-pleasing beat done by Justkeyz. The chorus matches the mood with a resonating message of having to “clock in, get in and get it, no options”–– a reality most of us have lived at some point in our lives. The verses from each artist just continued to prove that 20NVR is here to stay; and if you’re like me, it's one of those songs that you don’t get tired of listening to.

Don’t sleep. Go listen to NVR AGAIN out now everywhere where music is streamed.
